The New Wolseley Winery Building

After ten years we have finally commissioned our new winery building! This insulated space more than doubles our original concrete building floor area and will greatly facilitate the processing and storage of fruit and wine under cover.
Separating the original concrete building and the new steelframe building we have constructed a partly-roofed courtyard which also acts as a working service courtyard and cellar door. The plan is to use this space for events and tastings as the east and west walls are fitted with sliding doors which completely seal the open space against wind if necessary.
As an added bonus we have manufactured a large mobile service counter, fireplace and pizza oven. Not surprisingly the fire and oven have been operating every day since their commissioning only ten days ago! Surely these are comfortable features that our winery has long been waiting for!
Overall the new look winery has very clean cubic lines. The central raised roof is a subtle structure of steel lattice and breaks the long rectangle with a light, even elegant touch. We can imagine warmer days with the doors flung wide open and with the lake and swans beyond, …but now we are enclosed by the doors and sky.
Come on down and enjoy the new ambience around the fires and sample the Wolseley pizza and of course Wolseley wines. Will Wolseley has never lost sight of the reason this winery exists. It is part of a long-standing plan to grow and create unique wines with minimal interference and maximum personality.
