Depending on the season, Wolseley Pinots tend to fall into what are ‘Feminine’ and ‘Masculine’ wines. The 2014 Pinot comes into the feminine category. It’s clear and bright with a wonderful complex, elegant, perfumed nose of rose petal, delicate warm spices and understated ripe cherry. It has rich, ripe fruit with soft tannins which are now starting to integrate. This is a distinctive pinot with a long finish. While drinking well now, given a couple more years to develop, will bloom into something even better.
